Children's choir will be a part of the educational hour on Sunday mornings again this year! We here at First Presbyterian church want to offer the children a well rounded program on Sunday mornings and feel that music is an important part of that. There are two different music classes this year for the children:
Little Voices (preschool-1st grade) and Kid's Jam (2nd through 5th grade).
Little Voices
For children in preschool through 1st grade. This class will be held in the Mary and Martha classroom. We will learn some new songs and sing some that we already know. Join us on Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:15a.m.
Kid's Jam
Will be singing, learning music and rhythum through games, songs, and insturments: exploring Chirstian discipleship through music. Children in grades 2nd through 5th grade can be a part of Kid's Jam every Sunday morning from 9:00-9:15a.m.
Church school
Preschool (children 3 years old through 2nd grades will meet in the Mary and Martha classroom in the gymnasium from 9:15-10:00a.m.; there the children will learn more Bible stories using the rotation model. They will learn about Jonah, Joseph, Ruth, Miracles of Jesus, the Christmas story, and Plagues and Passover, just to name a few. We all learn in different ways so each week the children will hear the story in a different way such as through Bible stories, games, cooking, mission, crafts, etc. They will hear the same story all 5- weeks.
The 3rd through 5th graders will meet in the Front Porch classroom from 9:15-10:00a.m. while learning about the Bible. There they will dive deep into "Getting to Know My Bible". They will go through the Bible from creation to Revelation. They will learn by doing many activities and get the facts out of each book of the Bible. There they can ask questions and find out the what the Bible says. Don't forget to bring your Bible!
