It is our pleasure to welcome you to First Presbyterian Church. We hope that you will find here a caring community where all are welcomed as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We assume that your life is not always tranquil and that your faith is part of an ongoing journey-we assume that because it is also true of us! But the gospel is good news: God's love has been revealed in Christ, calling us to be reconciled to all from which we have been estranged: God, each other, creation, ourselves.

Kickoff for this year’s One Great Hour of Sharing was February 21, the first Sunday of Lent; and children received a “Fish Bank” and activity sheet for the Lenten season. Envelopes are available in the pews and additional “Fish Banks” are available in the Narthex, and the opportunity to support this denomination-wide offering continues through March 28, Palm Sunday.
For over 60 years, Presbyterians have joined millions of other Christians during Lent in One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with people experiencing need. Our annual gifts support three ministries in Christ’s name throughout the year: Self-Development of People, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and the Presbyterian Hunger Program.
Currently, Disaster Assistance has committed a minimum of $500,000 to victims of Haiti’s earthquake to provide shelter, food, and health assistance, as well as sanitation engineers and equipment to construct water purification systems and build latrines to help a critical sanitation situation.
