Leadership

Rev. Dr. Christopher Spotts has extensive and impressive education and broad experiences. Chris began his academic experience at Eastern Washington University where he earned his B.A.E. in both Physics and Math Education. He then migrated to Southern California where he completed his M.A.T. in Biblical Studies and Theology, and then moved on to Marquette University to complete his Ph.D. in Religious Studies. During his time in California, he served as the English pastor at the Monterey Park Chinese Baptist Church. Chris and his wife, Jamie, later migrated to Mequon, Wisconsin, where he served in multiple positions at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, serving over 1,000 members. 

 Karla was born in Mexico, where she completed postgraduate studies in Biology and Administration. In 2013, she and her husband, Orlando, moved to the United States. She graduated from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2018 . In 2023, they moved to Colorado to help Karla to lead the ministry RUTH. Karla and Orlando are the proud parents of two daughters and one dog. In their free time, they like to walk on trails, make "carne asada," and read. Also, Karla is a  volunteer Zumba Fitness instructor at the local Recreation Center.
