Missions at first Presbyterian

As a congregation we are deeply committed to these local, national, and international mission opportunities.

Henderson Food Pantry

HeartBeat Denver (formerly New Genesis)

Heartbeat Denver Working Men’s Shelter. The Shelter averages about 90 people a day with a capacity of 120. Residents are required to have a job, pay weekly fees and be sober. Residents also have the opportunity to participate in a Program to learn financial skills, job search skills, how to build a support community that will help them reach their goal of staying sober and transition into an independent lifestyle.  Visit https://g.co/kgs/8Aa656H or more information.

Help for Homes

Every year a team from First Presbyterian Church participates in the annual Brighton Help for Homes.
We help seniors clean up their property, paint, yard  work and other small repair jobs.

Christmas Giving

Opportunities are offered at Christmas time to support the missions of our church.
A Giving Tree decorated with gift requests is one way our congregation shows kindness to those who would otherwise go without.
Alternative Gift Giving  instead of giving one more unneeded or unwanted present to someone, give a gift in their name to a mission our church supports.
Boys and Girls Club of Brighton receive Christmas cards and stamps from us which the children use to express their thanks to their sponsors.
